Renata (Mirone) Scarpa

Renata (Mirone) Scarpa of Stoneham, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 25, 2021 at age 97.

Born on September 13, 1923 in Livorno, Italy, Renata is the loving daughter of the late Domenico and Carolina (Tiberi) Mirone. Renata is a warm, kind and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed.

A devout Catholic, Renata was heavily involved with Saint Patrick Church in Stoneham where she proudly distributed communion. She enjoyed going to her family's home in Osterville, Cape Cod. Renata was a great cook. She was passionate about cooking meals and creating memories for her family.

Renata is the beloved wife of the late Alfred Scarpa. She is the devoted mother of Rini Dryer. The cherished grandmother of Amy Dryer and Christopher Dryer, Renata is the dear sister of Eugenio "Gino" Mirone and the late Antonio "Nino" Mirone and the late Josefina "Pina" Mirone. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Renata's Family on Wednesday, June 30th from 8:30 – 9:30am in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available. A Funeral Mass Celebrating Renata's Eternal Life will be held on Wednesday at 10am in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
