Reverend Dr. David M. Midwood

Reverend Dr. David M. Midwood, of Byfield, October 3, 2014, at age 65. Beloved husband of Louise (Crocker) Midwood. Cherished and devoted father of Jessica Anderson and her husband Jason, Meg Barile and her husband Kevin, Abigail Rydbeck and her husband Eric. Loving grandfather of Sam and Alice Anderson, Brenna and Michael Barile and soon to be Elisabeth Rydbeck. Son of the late Donald and Margaret (Hudson) Midwood. Dear brother of Meredith Chilvers and Robert Midwood. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Born in Providence RI, February 10, 1949, David grew up in West Warwick and was a graduate of Veterans Memorial High School. He attended the University of Rhode Island and received his Masters Degree at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, and received his Doctorate from Fuller Theological Seminary. David was the Pastor of West Congregational Church in Haverhill from 1975-2000. He was the former President of Vision New England and a Pastor and Interim Pastor of many local area churches. He was a member of Lawrence Evangelical Church for 7 years. At his death, David was the Pastor of Free Christian Church North Andover Campus since 2012.

A Memorial Service in Celebration of David's life will be held on Saturday October 11 in the A. J. Gordon Memorial Chapel Gordon College 255 Grapevine Rd. Wenham MA 01984 at 11am. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share remembrances with the family Friday October 10th in Free Christian Church 31 Elm St. Andover from 4-8 pm. Private family interment will take place at a later date in St. Aidans Chapel in S. Dartmouth MA.
