Richard C. Abreu, of Somerville, passed away on Sunday, June 4th, 2023, at Brigham and Women's Hospital at the age of 63.

Ricky grew up in Inman Square, Cambridge. He attended Longfellow Grammar School and graduated from Cambridge High and Latin High School. Ricky loved Boston sports, collecting baseball cards, listening to rock and roll music, reading the newspaper daily and playing the lottery. He will be missed by his loving family.

Ricky is the beloved son of the late Charles Jr. and Sallyann (Cotter) Abreu. Loving brother of Darlene "Dee" Desrosiers and her husband David of Cambridge and cherished uncle of Colleen Laude and her husband Drew, Nicole Desrosiers and Ashley Desrosiers. Ricky also leaves many other extended family members and friends.

Family and friends are cordially invited to visiting hours on Monday, June 19th, 2023 from 4 to 6pm. A Memorial Service will be celebrated following the visiting hours at 6pm. Interment will be held privately.
