Obituary

Richard H. Clark, beloved husband of Mary Ann (Gleason) Clark, passed away on Friday, June 21st, 2024 with his family at his side.  Born in Cambridge, he is the loving son of the late Herman Clark and Eleanor (D'Amore) Clark McMahon.

Richard grew up in Cambridge and was a graduate of Rindge Technical High School, class of 1961.  He then earned his Bachelor's Degree from UMASS Amherst and Master's Degree from Salem State College.  A proud veteran, Richard served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era.

Richard married the love of his life Mary Ann, they lived in Stoneham before settling in Reading to raise their family.  Richard worked for many years until his retirement as an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service.

He was a lover of sports, especially the Celtics and the New England Patriots, where he was an original season ticket holder.  He loved to ski, take trips to the casino and vacations at York Beach in Maine.  Richard's greatest joy came from being with his family.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.  He will be deeply missed by his family and many dear friends.

In addition to being the beloved husband of Mary Ann, he is the devoted father of Christina Clark of Greenfield, Brian Clark and his partner Heidi Laier of Shapleigh, Maine, Katharine Clark of Reading and the late Lauren Clark. Cherished grandfather of Trevor Sebeika, Skyla Mills and Luna, River and Oak Clark.  Loving brother of Carol Quinn on Hollis, NH, Albert Clark and his wife Cathy of Westwood, James Clark of Quincy, Paula McCarthy and her husband Paul of Cambridge and Stephen McMahon and his wife  Kathy.  He is the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews and Richard leaves dear friends Carolyn and Joe Delrossi.

Family and friends are cordially invited to visiting hours at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading (Corner of Park St. and Rt. 28 at the Reading Line) on Monday, July 1st, 2024 from 4 to 7pm.

A Graveside Service will be Celebrated for Richard on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 in Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St., Everett at 1:30pm.  All are invited to attend.
