Richard DeFlumeri of Wakefield passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Bear Hill Nursing Home in Wakefield. He was 70 years of age.
Born in Italy, Richard was the loving son of the late Antionetta (Sorrenti) DeFlumeri and Ralph DeFlumeri. Richard was a warm and loving husband, brother-in-law and uncle. He will be sadly missed.
Richard started and owned a 100 acre apple orchard in Maine. He also owned De's Farm Outlet, produce markets in Boston and South Boston.
Richard was the beloved husband of Emilie (DelBuono). He was the dear brother-in-law of Diana Murphy and her late husband Richard of Stoneham, Joan Douvros and her husband Stanley of Florida and the late Dolores Esposito. Richard is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Richard's life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 11 am. Parking attendants will be available. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
