Richard "Dick" Piaseczynski of Stoneham passed away at home, on Sunday August 5, 2018. He was 75 years of age.
Dick was a son of the late Stanley and Stella (Kodzis) Piaseczynski. He was born in Boston and was a graduate of Boston College. He was married on September 20, 1969 to Ellen L. (Donohue) Piaseczynski. Together Dick and Ellen raised their three sons in Stoneham. They were married for 44 years.
In his younger days, Dick worked with his father, Stanley, at the Atlantic Spice Company and then for 35 years with the United State Postal Service as a Mail Handler at Logan International Airport and then a Letter Carrier in Stoneham. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. Dick enjoyed spending time at home and in the summer enjoyed hosting cookouts and pool parties with his family and friends.
Dick was the beloved husband of Ellen L Piaseczynski who predeceased him in 2013. He was the devoted father of Richard J. Piaseczynski and his wife Cheryl, Michael S. Piaseczynski, and James T. Piaseczynski. Dick (Grampie) was the loving grandfather of Emma, John, Shayla, and Cole. He was the loving brother of Stanley Piaseczynski & his wife Mary of North Venice, Florida. Loving uncle to many nieces & nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday August 11th, at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Dick's Eternal Life in St. Joseph's Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Friday August 10th, from 4-7 PM in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator available. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
