Richard P. Lee Jr.

Richard P. Lee Jr. of Stoneham passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.  He is 88 years of age.

Born on Thursday, February 28, 1935 in Everett, Richard is the loving son of the late Richard P. Lee and Ruth (Ferguson) Lee.  Richard is a warm, kind, gentle and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Richard worked at W. R. Grace for 43 years holding multiple titles until his retirement in 1997 as Shipping Manager.

Richard loved his family, sports, and a good game of cards. An avid Patriots fan, Richard  watched every game, every week with his Family. He enjoyed various card games with his children, grandchildren, or his friends at the senior center.  Richard was a horse racing enthusiast who could  be found near the finish line of Suffolk Downs during live racing.  

A true New Englander, Richard loved candlepin bowling. He was a member of various leagues, bowling multiple days per  week starting  from 1953 until 2023.

Richard is the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Neely) Lee.  He is the devoted father of Ruth St. Amand and her partner Daniel Dunlea, James Lee and his wife Souri, Russell Lee, David Lee, Daniel Lee and his wife Diane, the late Richard P. Lee III and the late Ronald Lee.  The cherished grandfather of Richard P. Lee IV and his wife Tabitha, Bonnie Lee, Nadine Alaimo and her husband Sean, Jessica St. Amand and her husband Dennis Demonceau, Amanda Lee ad Colby Lee, Richard is the doting great grandfather of 6.  He is the dear brother of the late Myrna Lee McPhee and the late John R. Lee.  Richard is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Richard’s Family on Friday, September 22^nd from 10am – 1pm before traveling to Lindenwood Cemetery for burial.  Parking attendants and elevator are available.
