Richard W. Libby, age 90, passed away on December 10, 2022 at home with his loving family by his side.  Richard was the beloved husband of the late Carol (Wiklund) Libby, with whom he had shared 31 wonderful years of marriage, prior to her passing.

Born in Melrose, he was the beloved son of the late Ira and Bertha (Jones) Libby.  Dick grew up in Melrose and was a graduate of Melrose High School. He earned his degree in Accounting from Bentley College. Dick was a proud Veteran having served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a strong supporter of Military causes. He married the love of his life, his wife Carol, and they settled in Lynnfield to raise their children. He spent his career working for Cabot Corporation and Raffi & Swanson. He was tireless, always hard at work whether at his job or at home.

Dick was the devoted father of Chris Wiklund, Eric Wiklund and his wife Maureen (Gray), Jeff Wiklund and his wife Geri (McAndrews), and Tricia (Libby) and her husband Ryan Morrison.

Cherished grandfather of Katelyn Koch and her husband Justin Koch, Ashley Wiklund, Emma Wiklund, Connor Wiklund, James Wiklund, Aleksandra Parker, Timothy Parker, Patrick Parker, Emma Parker, Abbiagael Wiklund, Brooke Morrison and Dylan Morrison; loving great grandfather of Anthony Labo Jr.; Dick is also survived by his many dear nieces and nephews.

Dick was the brother of the late Donald Libby and his wife Evelyn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home on Friday Dec. 16th at 11am.  Internment will immediately follow with Military Honors at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
