Richard C. Marcotti Jr.

Richard C. Marcotti Jr., of Stoneham, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 6, 2026. He was 87 years of age.

Richard was a graduate of Somerville High School. Upon graduating he worked for New England Telephone as a wiring systems designer. Upon retirement he worked for Lucent Technologies as consultant. Richard loved fitness and was a certified personal trainer. In addition to that, he was a judo champion in his weight class and also taught judo in Somerville. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and brother-in-law. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Richard is the beloved husband of Jean Marie (Pelrine) Marcotti. He is the cherished father of Deborah Picillo and her husband James, Karen Stabile, Linda DiGregorio and her husband Michael and Janis Pothier and her husband Brian. Loving grandfather of 5 and great grandfather of 5. Dear brother of  Irene Chirichiello and her husband John, Edward Marcotti and the late Frank Marcotti, brother-in-law of Rita (Pelrine) Kelleher and her husband Jack, Gail (Pelrine) Russo and her husband David. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
