Richard A. Meuse, of Lawrence, passed away on Tuesday July 7th, 2015 at the age of 86. He was the son of the late John Meuse and Mary (Arsenault) Meuse Mercer. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
Richard proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he was an automotive engine rebuilder and the recipient of two bronze stars. After returning from Korea, Richard focused on his studies and became a Master Electrician and Master Plumber. He was an employee of the Boston Stove Company in Reading for 59 years and for the last 8 years he worked at the Lakeside Inn. Richard was very family orientated. He loved to spend time making memories with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Richard was the beloved husband of Karen A. Meuse. He was the devoted father of Darlene Trombly and her partner David Perkins, Tom Meuse, Richard A. Meuse, Jr and his wife Marilyn, Douglas Clements and Kristina Meuse. Richard was the cherished grandfather of Josh Meuse, Michael Trombly, Richard Meuse, III, Vincent Meuse, Nicole Meuse, Brandyn Clements, Alexa Clements, Megan Meuse and Mara Perkins and great-grandfather of Benjamin Meuse, Eliza Meuse and Mikayla Trombly. He was the dear brother of Laura "Lolly" Lavigne, Barbara Coscia Doyle, Vincent Meuse and his wife Rita and the late Evelyn Gallella, Rocky Meuse, Francis Meuse, Agnes Benedetto and Buddy Meuse.
