Phelan, Richard C. "Dick" -Of Reading, June 23. Beloved husband of the late Sheila Phelan (Nelligan). Father of Richard Phelan and his wife Leslie of Billerica, Sheila Phelan of Reading, Michael Phelan and his wife Andrea of Winchester and Brian Phelan of Wakefield. Brother of Lillian Calicchio and her husband Alfred of FL, Michael Phelan of Burlington. Dick is also predeceased by ten siblings. Grandfather of Shannon, Noelle, Kati, Michael, Ryan and Anthony. Dick is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Richards funeral will begin from the Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 28 ^th at 9am. A funeral Mass for Richard will be held in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading at 10am. Relatives and friends may visit in the Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8pm. Interment in Wood End Cemetery, Reading. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's name to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284. Richard was a member of the Wakefield Elks and served his country during the Korean War in the US Army.
