Rina (Spinosa) Federico of Stoneham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on January 13, 2026 at age 77.
Born on January 1, 1949, in Sulmona, Italy, Rina is the loving daughter of Giuseppe Spinosa and Rosa (DiTirro) Spinosa. She is a warm, devoted, and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed.
Rina Federico was the beloved wife of Armando Federico for 59 wonderful years. She was the proud and loving mother of Anthony Federico and his wife Melissa, and Anna Maria DiStasio and her husband Michael.
Rina was the devoted grandmother of Arianna Federico, Liandra Federico, Tiana DiStasio, and Christian DiStasio, who were the light of her life. She was also the light of her family — a constant source of love, strength, and warmth. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, especially the lively family gatherings filled with laughter and her delicious homemade Italian meals. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, where stories were shared, traditions were celebrated, and generations were connected through food, love, and joy.
She was the cherished sister of Giovanna DiCenso, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins, and dear friends.
Rina will be remembered for her deep devotion to her family, her generous spirit, and the warmth of her hospitality. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel at home, and her legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on through all those who were blessed to know her.
