Rita Marie (Perkins) Boccelli died unexpectedly August 17th surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Gallant) Perkins. Sister of Robert Perkins of CA, Martin Perkins of Salem, MA and the late Donald and Charles Perkins.





Rita was a graduate of the Lynn Hospital School of Nursing class of 1946 and the Boston University Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Program class of 1978. She was the nursing supervisor for many years at the Greenwood Nursing Home in Wakefield.





Devoted wife of 65 years to Gus. Loving and caring mother to sons A. Paul and his wife Patricia, Peter and his wife Teresa, Fred and his wife Joanne, daughters Sunday Jordan and her husband Michael, Denise Breen and her husband William, Elizabeth Pascuccio and her husband Joseph, Mary Dinardi, Annette Boccelli and Fiance James Cahill, Rita Lewis and her husband Edward, the late Linda Boccelli-LeMar and her husband James and dear nephew Fred Perkins and his wife Tracey. She will be greatly missed by her 37 Grandchildren and spouses, 44 Great-Grandchildren and her many dear relatives and friends, especially Gilda DiPerri.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Rita's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Tuesday from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
