Robert Ryan Carr of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, formerly of Stoneham, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly on November 20, 2022, at the age of 42.
Our family is devastated by this huge loss, and he will be forever missed. He gave the biggest hugs and had an infectious smile that warmed our hearts.
Born the youngest, and only son, in an athletic family, Ryan skated as soon as he could walk. He played hockey for Stoneham High School, graduating in 1999. He later graduated from St. Michael’s College in Winooski, VT with a degree in Economics.
Ryan left winters behind for Florida to pursue better health and his love of the ocean. An avid fisherman, Ryan enjoyed many a sunrise and sunset on a boat or a beach.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Carr, Bert and Edna Egan, and uncles, David Egan and Kevin Carr.
He will always be remembered by his parents, Bob and Sandra, his siblings, Kelley and her partner, Armand, Christine and her husband, Sean, and Carolyn and her husband, Declan, his fiancée, Beth Barry, and a long list of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
He was also greatly loved and will be missed by the many friends he made growing up and in Florida, including his Florida “sisters”, Melissa, and Mari.
For those able and wishing to honor Ryan’s memory, donations may be made to the National Scleroderma Foundation.
