Robert F. Frederick, 76, succumbed to pancreatic cancer on March 11, 2026. Bob passed peacefully knowing he was loved, admired, respected, and considered a great friend by many.
Bob was born and raised in Revere. He graduated from Wentworth Institute with an Associates’ Degree in Electrical Engineering. Following that, he proudly served in the US Navy, two years active and four years reserve. After 40 years with the Telephone Company, he took the opportunity to retire.
He loved sports, particularly the Celtics of old, the Red Sox, the Patriots, and was always ready to play horseshoes, participate in bowling leagues, or join the boys for a night of poker or Super Bowl party. Bob had a penchant for camping and a love of music, especially Bob Seeger, George Thorogood, the Eagles, the Celtic Women, and the Moody Blues.
You could always find Bob puttering around the house or yard looking for, designing, or working on some project or another to make his homes a safe, comfortable, and welcoming space for family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife of 14 years, Patricia, his daughter Kristin, his son Robert, and his grandson Jordan. He also leaves behind his siblings Stephen, Linda, Keith, and Cheryl, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, in-laws, and countless friends.
He was predeceased by his first wife of 29 years, Barbara, his father Robert, his mother Joyce, and his sister Leah.
It is Bob’s wishes to be cremated and in lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168, dana-farber.org/gift, or a charity of one’s choosing.
