Robert E. House

Robert E. House, of Stoneham, formerly of Reading and Quincy, passed away on February 23, 2016 at age 92.

After graduating from Quincy High School, "Robbie" enlisted in the U. S Army Air Force and served for three years. Upon receiving his honorable discharge, he attended Harvard University, receiving a BS in Physics, prior to continuing on to earn his MS in Electrical Engineering at MIT. His professional career spanned over forty years, and most notably included his role as President of Semicon, Inc., a manufacturer of semiconductor components. His hobbies included carpentry, restoring old lamps and American History.

Robert is the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (McKinnon) House for over sixty years. He is the devoted father of Robert A. House and his wife Cynthia and Brian J. House and his wife Ellen. Robert is the cherished grandfather of Michael House, Lauren House, Timothy House and his wife Stephanie, Savannah House and Peter House. He is the loving son of the late Clarence E. and Mary L. (Tucker) House. Robert is the dear brother of Marjorie McKinnon and Edith Sheppard. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service Celebrating Robert's Eternal Life will be at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM on Monday February 29, 2016 at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family prior to the service from 9:00-10:30am in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
