Robert MacCaughey

Robert R. "Mac" MacCaughey of Reading, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the age of 80.
Bob was born in Wakefield, the son of Raymond and Florence (Traver) MacCaughey. He was a lifelong resident of Reading, attending Reading schools. He enjoyed watching sports on television and loved to play cribbage. Bob served in the U.S. Army and was a past member of the American Legion Post 62 and VFW Post 865 in Reading.
Bob was the husband of Marilyn (Brown) MacCaughey. He was the father of Darren MacCaughey and Kristen Scarpaci (husband Jason). Bob was the proud grandfather of Tristan, Jonathan, and Peregrine MacCaughey, and Jack and Daniella Scarpaci. He was the brother of the late Walter MacCaughey.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday March 5th, 2015 from 4-7 pm at the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Parking attendants and ramped entrance are available.
Burial will take place on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 12pm at Charles Lawn Cemetery, Charles St. in Reading.
