Robert P. "Bob" Malonson
April 22, 1958 — March 23, 2020
Robert P. Malonson of Saugus, MA passed away suddenly on March 23rd at a Boston hospital with his devoted wife by his side.
Mr. Malonson grew up in Wakefield, MA & attended Wakefield High School where he was a member of the Wrestling Team. He was the proud owner of Malonson Landscaping Co. for many years and served several local communities with his landscape expertise. Bob enjoyed very much making a difference in the lives of his fellow man. For many years he assisted with running and expanding a local food pantry and was quite influential with opening a sister location in Everett as well. The most important thing in Bob's life was his family and spending time with them. Whether it was traveling together, dining at many a weekly "family dinner" being out on the water, fishing or watching the Pats, if he was with family, he was a happy man. A favorite memory was Dad, Mom & "our girls" on a roadtrip with the radio blaring Oldies 103 & singing at the top of our lungs together. Bob was very proud of his children and grandchildren and would include anecdotes of each when with friends, family or acquaintances.
Anyone who knew Bob was aware of his ability to fix virtually anything. If you needed a hand, Bob was eager to assist & would get it done, no matter what it took. Every morning for many years, Bob enjoyed long walks in the beautiful woods near his home. The deer and other wildlife gladly shared their home with him & allowed photos within close reach as he was their friend and brought treats for them to enjoy.
A life well lived; A life well loved".... Cherished memories will forever be shared by all who knew him.
In addition to his loving wife of 41 years, Linda, he is the father of Melissa Viele, Jennifer Malonson, adopted daughters Lori and Amy Girard. Cherished grandfather of Shaun Viele, Dante and Nico Vazquez, C.J. Gilmore, Alyssa Messina and Anthony Messina. Beloved son of the late Robert J. and Eleanor (Gerrior) Malonson Loving brother of Frederick Malonson and his late wife Nancy and Kenneth Malonson and his wife Lisa also the uncle of many nieces and nephews. He is the son-in-law of Claira Anderson and leaves many aunts, uncles, extended family along with many friends.
At this time, due to current health concerns, services will be held at a later date.
