Robert V. Rando

Robert V. Rando of Stoneham, passed away peacefully on Monday December. 25th, 2017 with his wife by his side. He was 88 years of age.

Born in Boston and raised in Roslindale, Robert was the loving son of the late Joseph and Angelina (Fasano) Rando.

Robert lived an exemplary life. He was a proud graduate of Northeastern University and Bentley College. Upon graduating, Robert worked for United Electric Controls for 64 years until his retirement in 2009. Robert loved to fix things. He could fix anything for anybody. Most importantly, Robert loved his family, especially his grandchildren. They were first and foremost in his life. Robert proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army in Army intelligence.

Beloved husband for 53 years to Frances (O'Donnell). Devoted father of Kathy Rando, Susan Mather and her husband Greg, Robert Rando and his wife Jennifer, Kristin Wilson and her husband Heath. Loving grand father of 10. Cole, Cooper and Chloe Martens; Clare, William and Ryan Mather; Phoebe and Jack Rando; Teagan and Roan Wilson. Dear brother of the late Frank J. Rando. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM on Saturday December 30th at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Robert's Eternal Life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Friday December 29th from 4pm to 8pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
