Robert "Robbie" Bodoin, 50 of N. Reading, Ma.

Unexpectedly passed on July 28, 2017 at his residence. He grew up in Medford, MA. Graduated from Medford Vocational School.  After high school, he worked for Dealer Towing Service, Inc. of Medford, his family's business.  He later relocated to Groveton, NH. To manage two other family businesses, Crossroads Truck Stop and the Lancaster Diner in Lancaster, NH.  For the last two decades, he worked as an equipment operator of the HOV Barrier machine also known as the zipper truck, which shifts the 10,000 movable barriers on the I-93 Southeast Expressway.  Robbie was highly regarded as an expert in operation and maintenance of the HOV barrier machine.  The Boston Globe featured him in an article back in Nov. 2006, as having one of the oddest jobs in the commonwealth.

He was a loving father of two sons, Riley and Ryan Bodoin of Dracut, beloved son of Robert and Joan Bodoin of Jefferson, GA., brother of Michelle & George Bergeron of Atlanta, GA, and Steven & Michelle Bodoin of Dunstable, MA. and Uncle to Britney and Amanda Bergeron of Atlanta, GA. And Brayden Bodoin of Dunstable, MA.  He was the loving companion of Pam Coleman Iapicca of Lynnfield.  Robbie was a kind-hearted person, who'd help anyone. He had crystal blue eyes that sparkled like stars in the sky.  Heaven has gained an angel, Rest in peace. We miss you dearly!

A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, August 4 ^th at 10 am in St. Thomas of Villanova Church 126 Middlesex Ave. Wilmington. Relatives and friends may visit the Cota Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug. 3 ^rd from 4-8pm. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
