Robert Voto passed away peacefully in Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida at the age of 85 on August 1st 2022. He was born in East Boston on May 21st 1937 to the late Salvatore and Lydia Vot0. He was raised in East Boston and graduated from English High.
He was the beloved husband of Helen (Belliveau). Father of Linda Voto of N. Andover, Robert S. Voto and his longtime companion Lauren Grant of North Reading and the late Laura Salvo. Father in law of David Salvo. Son of the late Salvatore and Lydia Voto. Brother of Sally Ann Pacunas and her husband Kenneth of NH, John Voto and his wife Mary of Tewksbury, Joseph Voto and his wife Marilyn of Arlington and the late David Voto. Brother in law of Joanne Voto of NH. Beloved papa of Robert J., Justin, Michael, Michelle, Nicholas, Angela and Vanessa.
Robert married Helen Belliveau and raised three children in Somerville and then spent many years enjoying his grandchildren in North Reading.
He was a successful businessman and had a passion for owning racehorses. His later years were spent in Florida with family and friends.
Funeral from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28), NORTH READING, at Reading line, on Friday, Aug. 12th at 10:00am. Funeral Mass in St. Theresa's Church, 63 Winter St. (Rte. 62), North Reading at 10:30am. Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home prior to Mass from 9-10am. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
