Roger J. Bevilacqua, of Stoneham formerly of Medford, passed away on Saturday December 8, 2007 peacefully at age 89 at Wilmington Health Care Center where he resided for two and a half years.





Born in Boston, Roger was the son of the late Antonio Bevilacqua and Mary (Torella) Bevilacqua of Italy.





Roger proudly served our Country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II.





He was a professional musician, playing music for many friends and family members throughout the years. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all.





Roger was the beloved husband of the late Angelina E. (DiCarlo). He was the loving father of Maria E. Covino and her husband Tony of Stoneham and Barbara A. Capone of Saugus and Joseph Capone. Cherished grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 5. He was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Wednesday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Roger's life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 9am.





Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Internment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
