Roman J. LeBlanc of Reading passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston surrounded by his family. He was 78 years of age.
Born in Chelsea, Roman was the loving son of the late Siffroi LeBlanc and Estella LeBlanc. At age 2, his family moved to Nova Scotia.
During the Korean War, Roman proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Army.
Roman was an active member of St. Agnes Parish in Reading serving as an Eucharistic Minister, Usher and Acolyte.
Roman is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Marie (Comeau) LeBlanc. He was the devoted father of Marc LeBlanc and his wife Judy of North Reading, Carol Celata and her husband Bob of Tewksbury and Stephen LeBlanc and his companion Stacey of Lawrence. He was the cherished grandfather of Jason, Derek, Scotia and Isabel. Roman was the dear brother of Conrad LeBlanc and his wife Mildred of Nova Scotia. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Saturday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Roman's Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading at 10:30 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Friday from 3-7 pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment Charles Lawn Cemetery, Reading.
