Romeo M. Capuano

Romeo M. Capuano of Stoneham, formerly of Somerville, passed away on July 2nd, 2015 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was 92 years of age.

Romeo was the beloved husband of the late Julia (Bruno) Capuano. He was the devoted father of Nicholas A. Capuano and his wife Catherine, Francis A. Capuano, Sr. and his wife Dianne and the late Julia Capuano-Aten. Romeo was the cherished grandfather of Paul Aten, Michael Aten and his wife Lisa, Julie Aten-Bellas and her husband Elias, Nicholas R. Capuano and his wife Jennifer, Francis A. Capuano, Jr. and his fiancé Carly Greenstein, Maria Capuano-Iraci and her husband Michael, Christine Capuano and her fiancé Matt Carlino, Joseph Capuano and his wife Allison and Anthony Capuano. He was the loving great-grandfather of Frankie Aten, Michael Aten, Eleni Bellas, Taylor Aten, Marina Bellas, Ashley Aten, Alexander Bellas and Gracelyn Joyce Capuano. Romeo was the son of the late Nicholas Capuano and Julia (Bruno) Capuano.

Romeo was a graduate of the class of 1941 from Somerville High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, Veteran of WW II and was a Retired Firefighter from the City of Somerville.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Wednesday, July 8th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Romeo's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Tuesday, July 7th, from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
