Ronald Paul Brian

Ronald Paul Brian of Stoneham, Massachusetts passed away on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, while riding his motorcycle on a beautiful summer morning. Ron planned on heading to Laconia, but God had a ride to Heaven in mind instead. He was 66 years of age.

Born on Saturday, August 22, 1959 in Somerville, Massachusetts, Ron was the loving son of the late Edward Brian and Gloria (Giannone) Brian. Ron was a kind, loyal, gentle and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will truly be missed.

After graduating from the class of 1977 from Stoneham High School, Ron enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. After his military service, Ron began his career with Admiral Metals in Woburn, Massachusetts, which spanned over 2 decades. Following his time with Admiral Metals as a truck driver, he joined Thayer & Associates in 2004 as a Property Maintenance Manager of the Pavilion in Cambridge, Massachusetts. During his 20+ year tenure with Thayer, Ron maintained the property to the highest standards while building lasting friendships with residents and owners alike.

In the late 1980’s, Ron, also known as “Oinky”, loved participating in (and winning) bench press competitions up at Old Orchard Beach. He loved deer hunting and was posted in the Biggest Bucks of Maine Club in 1989. Ron had a passion for playing hockey and participating in Bruins Alumni events for a number of years. His passions also extended to the open seas where he was a member of the Ipswich and Mystic Wellington Yacht Clubs. Ron was also a member of the Andover Sportsmen Club. He was a master craftsman in carpentry, evident through the full renovation of his lakeside cabin in Acton, Maine as well as countless other projects. He loved coaching baseball and watching both of his children participate in sports. He gave his time generously as a volunteer with the Coast Guard Auxiliary and Soldiers Home in Chelsea, Massachusetts.

Ron loved riding his motorcycle, the open ocean on his boat, driving his Mustang, and chasing sunrises at Portland Head Light, where he said spirits run highest. Ron was also an avid concert goer and an active member of Skynyrd Nation.

Service wasn’t something Ron did, it was who he was. For nearly four decades, Ron walked a path of recovery as a Friend of Bill, proudly carrying a message of experience, strength, and hope to countless people along the way. Ron was a man of deep faith and spirituality, with an unwavering trust in a higher power. He often spoke about the circle of life and the importance of balance between physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Above all, Ron loved his family. Those who knew Ron knew he was, in every sense, his family’s anchor.

Ron was the beloved husband of Jeanne (Scannell) Brian. He was the devoted father of Zachary Brian and his wife Kelly, and Victoria Brian. The cherished “Pop-Pop” of Cole Brian and soon to be expecting Beau Ronald Brian. Ron is the dear brother of Eddie Brian and his longtime partner Chanthy Nan, Shelley Skinner and her husband Brian, David Brian and his longtime partner Lucinda Racioppi and Michelle Kelleher and her husband Mark. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.
