Rosario F. (Bonilla) Martinez

Rosario F. (Bonilla) Martinez, 81, beloved wife of Camilo Martinez, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2017, surrounded by her family.

Rosario was born and raised in Trujillo, Honduras. She came to the United States in the 1970s with her husband Camilo and settled in Dorchester. They later moved to Hyde Park to raise their children. When Rosario began working, she was employed as a housekeeper, but school was her passion. She became a teacher's assistant and worked at the Black Stone Middle School in the South End until her retirement. Upon retirement, she worked at Logan Airport as a transporter. Rosario enjoyed photography and traveling yearly to Honduras to see her family.

In addition to her husband Camilo, she is survived by her five children: Teresa R' Martinez, Marta Zapata and her husband Carlos, Maria Best and her husband Vincent, Lola Martinez and her boyfriend Jonathan Henderson and Irina Martinez and her boyfriend Benny Edge; twelve grandchildren: Daisy, Ingrid, Idalia, Alicia, Wilmer, Wendy, Geovanny, Anthony, John-Eric, Michael, Sharice and Darren; twelve great grandchildren; four siblings: Marcelino, Eugenia, Ciriaca and Miguel; along with many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and extended family. She is predeceased by her mother Kirina (Lacayo) Bonilla and her father Cantelino Bonilla.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories at the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) Stoneham on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm. A prayer service will be held at 6pm.
