Rose Concetta Censullo

Rose Concetta Censullo (Palange) of Stoneham passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday September 27, 2009 at the age of 88. Rose was a recent resident of Palm Manor and Chelmsford Crossings in Chelmsford. She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Censullo and devoted mother of Francis M. Censullo and wife Gina of San Pedro, CA, Joanne R. Censullo of Wilmington, Carol A. Phinney and husband William of Chelmsford, and her late children Paula A. and John A. Rose was the cherished grandmother of Nathan and Christopher Censullo and Erin, Michelle, Neal and John Phinney. A gentle person, Rose is survived by many special family members and friends.



A native of Somerville, Rose spent her adult life in Stoneham as a family homemaker and secretary in the Stoneham School system. Rose enjoyed cooking, music, playing cards and bingo, drives to the ocean and occasions with her extended family. Rose touched the hearts of many through her community involvement at St. Patrick's Church, Stoneham Senior Center, and Knights of Columbus. It was Rose's great joy to make special and lasting friendships wherever she went. All will remember her gracious smile and kind heart.



Rose was predeceased by her beloved brothers and sister, Joseph and Paul Palange and Vera Masiello.



Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Friday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Rose's Life in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Thursday from 3-8 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants will be available.
