Russell Thomas Hunt

d. September 24, 2005

Russell Thomas Hunt of Reading died at his home September 24, 2005. He was 24 years of age.

Russell was a life long resident of Reading; he attended Joshua Eaton and Parker and graduated with Reading High Class of 2000. He attended college in Gainesville, Florida. He was a gifted athlete and was good at all he did. His passion was sports where he excelled in baseball, soccer and skiing. He still holds many pitching records at Reading High. He recently became an avid golfer. He was a big fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. Russell worked for H.P. Hood doing sales and distribution of dairy products.

Russell lived with a special calmness and genuineness. He took life as it came, loved adventure and never feared for the next turn in the road. He lived every day with a happy smile on his face and a laugh that no one will forget. He loved to cook and eat good food. He enjoyed playing with children and they loved him. He was a great friend, brother and son.

Russell looked forward to shopping with Grandma Barbara; he would even pick out clothes for his brother Steve. Russell loved clothes particularly hats and shoes. He also loved music and to dance. Many remember Russell for his great sense of humor and quick wit.

If life was measured in smiles, Russell lived an eternity. He lived every day at his own pace. It was always his smile that engaged you while his personality consumed you. He embraced everyone, young, old, strong and weak. He opened his arms to give confidence and strength to those in need. Russell touched us all with something so special. He lived with a unique honor and softness and always wanted to please. He will be sorely missed.

Russell was the beloved son of Thomas Hunt and Maureen (Walsh) Hunt. He was the devoted brother of Stephen B. Hunt of Reading and cherished grandson of Thomas and Barbara (Cullinane) Hunt and Patricia (Shannon) Walsh and her late husband William. He was the dear nephew of Cynthia, Timothy and Daniel Hunt, Daniel Walsh, Sheila Honeycutt and Martha Nicolson and loving friend of Evy Gillette and her daughters, Heather, Holly, Laura and April. He is also survived by many loving cousins and friends
