Ruth V. Barrett of Reading passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Peter Sanborn Place where she was a longtime resident and received great care and a lot of love. She was 86 years of age.

Born in Wakefield, Ruth was the loving daughter of the late Edmond and Lillian A. (White) Barrett. Ruth was a warm and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her

Ruth loved her daughter and grandchildren, her true love was for her family. They were first and foremost in her life.

Ruth was the beloved mother of Donna Carlow and her husband Louis. She was the cherished grandmother of Gregory Carlow and his wife Suzanne, Christina Decker and her husband Scott, Alyssa Hilton and her husband Matthew and Andrea Carlow and loving great grandmother of Benjamin, Leina, Samuel, Wayde, Barrett and Evelyne. Ruth was the dear sister of Thomas Barrett, Lillian Commins and the late Daniel F. Barrett, Walter J. Barrett, Mary Alice Barrett, Helen J. Barrett, Edward Barrett, Christopher G. Barrett, and Theresa Brown. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11am in the Chapel of the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
