Ruth A. (White) Burbine

Ruth A. (White) Burbine of Reading passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2022. She is 95 years of age.

Born on Sunday, July 18, 1926 in Wakefield, Ruth is a loving daughter of the late George White and Margaret (Quinn) White. Ruth is a kind, warm and gentle daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed.

Ruth was a dedicated employee for the Town of Reading for 25 years. She held positions in the Superintendent's Office and the Department of Elder Services.

Ruth is the beloved wife of the late John Burbine Sr. She is the devoted mother of Candace Callahan and her husband Lee, Cynthia Keenan and her husband William and the late John A. Burbine Jr. The cherished grandmother of 8, Ruth is the doting great grandmother of 11. She is the dear sister of Joyce Chasse and the late Thomas "Bud" White Jr., Ethel Gorman, Doris Howell, Pauline Davis and Evelyn White. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Ruth's Eternal Life will be held on Friday, April 1st at 10:30am in Saint Agnes Church, 186 Woburn Street Reading. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Ruth's Family prior to the Mass beginning at 9am in the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery, Reading.
