Ruth B. Collins

December 19, 1922 — January 4, 2007

Ruth E. (Blum) Collins of Stoneham formerly of Yarmouthport and Braintree passed away Thursday, January 4, 2007. She was 84 years of age.





Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin she was the daughter of the late Louis G. and Elsie (Prell) Blum. Ruth was a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother grandmother and friend. Her family was first and foremost in her life. She will be missed by all.





She was a United States Navy Veteran proudly serving our Country during World War II. She was awarded the Campaign and World War II Victory Ribbons.





Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Bernard M. Collins. She was the devoted mother of Jeffrey M. Collins and his wife Mary K. of CT, C. Shelton Collins II and his wife Cynthia A. of Stoneham, and the late Bernard M. Collins, Jr. She was the cherished grandmother of Jeffrey M. Collins, Jr., Kenneth Collins, Giliann K. Collins and Taylor E. Collins and dear sister of the late Bernice Ahearn.





Family and friends are kindly invited to attend an hour of visitation Saturday from 8:30-9:30am. at the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Ruth's life in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
