Ruth N. Delaney of Reading passed away on Wednesday June 30, 2004 at Winchester Nursing Center in Winchester. She was 92 years of age.
Born in North Andover, Ruth and her husband Laurence moved to Reading in the 1950's to raise their family.
Ruth was a dedicated and talented homemaker for many years. A devout Catholic, Ruth was a parishioner at both St. Agnes and St. Athanasius parishes. As a member of the Reading Art Club, Ruth was awarded prizes for her paintings.
Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Laurence J. Delaney. She was the devoted mother of Marilyn Streeter and her husband Donald, Eleanor Delaney, and Margaret Cowell and her husband Douglas. Ruth was the cherished grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Saturday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Athanasius Church 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10 am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. Parking is available in municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover.
