Ruth E. (Hanford) LeBrun of Stoneham passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 77 years of age.

Born in Somerville, Ruth was the daughter of the late Frederick P. Hanford and Ruth E. (Collins) Hanford. Frederick was a Selectman for the Town of Stoneham, and a past Master in the King Cyrus Lodge of the Masons. Ruth was a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all.

Ruth was a dedicated 2nd grade teacher of the Town of Reading for many years before becoming a substitute teacher in the Town of Stoneham. She loved to go camping, she loved to dance and travel. Ruth was known as the "knitting nanny" to her grandchildren. She took great pride in them. Ruth was a longtime member of the Cosmopolitan Square Dancing Group. Ruth also enjoyed going to the theater and various concerts.

Ruth was the beloved wife of Frank W. LeBrun Jr. She was the devoted mother of Paul LeBrun and his wife Robin, Susan Champagne and her husband Ken, all of Maine, Steven LeBrun and his wife Debra of Westford. Ruth was the cherished grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 1. She was the dear sister of Paula D'Annolfo of Stoneham and Martha Confalone of Wakefield.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) Wednesday at 12 pm followed by a Funeral Service held at All Saints Episcopal Church 79 Central St. Stoneham at 1 pm. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
