Ruth Parsons

Ruthanne (Boardman) Parsons, age 81, passed away peacefully at her home on June 2, 2021, surrounded by family.

She is survived by her husband Robert of 50 years, who fondly referred to her as "Ruthie Babe." They shared a life together filled with love, friendship and laughter. Their relationship was an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know them. They were more than just partners in life, they were best friends.

Ruthanne was a devoted mother to Richard Parsons, Susan Teehan and husband Matthew, Katie Parsons, Karen Torri and husband Edward and the late Jane Parsons, and cherished grandmother to Matthew, Jake, Edward and William. Daughter of the late Richard and Grace Boardman and sister to Robert Boardman, Jean MacFarland and the late Richard Boardman and Mary Lou Kane.

Ruthanne dedicated her life to her husband and children. She was a fiercely loyal and compassionate person who radiated warmth and kindness. She made countless friendships throughout her life, from childhood on, and cherished each and every one. "Ruthie" was the person everyone in the room wanted to sit by. Quick to get a joke and even quicker to make one, her mischievousness and humor are legendary to all who knew her.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Wednesday June 9, 2021 in the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING from 4 pm to 7 pm. Parking attendants and elevator available. A celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
