Ruth A. (Nolan) Stamatis of Harwich, formerly of Reading passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at her home. She was 81 years of age.
Born in Winchester, Ruth was the loving daughter of the late Francis and Grace (Stone) Nolan. Ruth was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed.
Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Charles H. Stamatis, who was a homebuilder and Building Inspector for the Town of Reading. She was the devoted mother of Daniel Stamatis of Harwich, Joan Nessman and her husband Robert of Plymouth, Robert Stamatis and his wife Anita of Alvaton, Kentucky, Mark Stamatis and his wife Maureen McKeever of Pittsfield, Susan Stamatis and her husband Mark Bowman of Quincy, David Stamatis and his wife Donna of Reading, Kathleen Guazzaloca and her husband Ted of Brewster. Ruth was the cherished grandmother of Matthew and Ryan Taglieri of New Hampshire, Michael and Lauren Stamatis of Stoneham, David and Ashley Stamatis of Reading, Krystina, Emily, T.J. Guazzaloca of Brewster. She was the dear sister of the late Jean Keating of North Andover. Ruth was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Tuesday at 8am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Ruth's life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Monday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Charles Lawn Memorial Park, Reading.
