Ruth was born in Everett, MA, in 1934, and was the daughter of the late Edwin and Sarah Kruger. She was the youngest of five children. Ruth graduated from Everett High School in 1952 and went on to attend Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School. Following graduation, she began a long career as an executive secretary at the John Hancock building in Boston.
Ruth was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late Richard “Dick” Trenholm. She was predeceased by her brother, Harold Kruger, and her three sisters, Evelyn Kruger, Elenor Bell, and Frances Cox.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Laurie (Trenholm) Parker and her husband, Paul Parker, of Billerica. She was the devoted grandmother of her three grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, and Lindsey Parker, all of Billerica. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Ruth enjoyed many simple pleasures throughout her life. She loved reading books, watching New England sports on television, and traveling with her husband. She especially enjoyed road trips to Woodman’s for seafood and spending time playing with the family dog, Zoey.
