Sabine Y. Malcolm

November 11, 1928 — April 15, 2010

Sabine "Yvonne" Malcolm of Reading formerly of Breton, Nova Scotia, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Winchester Hospital. She was 81 years of age.



Born in Canada, Yvonne was the loving daughter of the late Mae (Munier) Malcolm and John C. Malcolm.



Yvonne was a warm and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Yvonne loved her family and lived her family life. Yvonne's door was always open for anyone to sit and have a cup of tea and chat. She loved cooking, traveling and fine dining. Yvonne loved to walk around town and meet people. She enjoyed going to Warren's Restaurant in Maine. She will be sorely missed.



She was the beloved wife of the late John Malcolm. Devoted mother of John C. Malcolm and his wife Deborah of Reading, Diane Indoccio of Hampton, NH, Mary E. Buckley and her husband Preston of Nantucket, Faith Sweeney and her husband William of Newburyport and Joyce Buckley of Reading. Cherished grandmother of Carole Watson, David Buckley, Jared Lampassi, William Sweeney, Laura Buckley, Caitlin Sweeney, Alicia Buckley, Colleen Sweeney, Michael Sweeney and the late Matthew Lampassi. Loving Great grandmother of Adrianna, Cassandra, Ethan, Matthew and Ava. Dear sister of Violet Malcolm of Canada. Aunt of Sheila Latimer of Canada.



Funeral from the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING, Tuesday at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Yvonne's Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading at 9 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Monday from 4-8 pm in the funeral home. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment Mass National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 pm.
