Sabino Cioffi of Somerville, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Brigham & Womens Hospital in Boston. He was 78 years of age.
Born in Italy, Sabino was the loving son of the late Columba (Spina) Cioffi and Orazio Cioffi. Sabino was a warm and caring husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be sorely missed.
Sabino was the beloved husband of Carmela (Falardo) Cioffi. He was the devoted father of Maria Melanson and her husband Jimmy and Carmen Cioffi all of Somerville. Cherished grandfather of Sonia Johnson and her husband Eric, Sabino Cioffi, Michael Cioffi and Miranda Melanson. Adoring great grandfather of Emma Sophia. Dear brother of Biaggio and Antonio Cioffi both of Italy, Mario Cioffi of Somerville and the late Carmela Alviggi.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday, June 25th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Sabino's life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Thursday June 24th from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
