Salvatore J. Dimare

Salvatore Joseph "Sam" DiMare of Stoneham passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Kindred North Shore Hospital in Peabody. He was 83 years of age.





Born in Boston, Salvatore was the loving son of the late Salvatore DiMare and Margaret (Guzzetta) DiMare. Salvatore was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all.





Salvatore was a dedicated Restaurant Owner in Boston for many years. He was devoted to his family. They were first and foremost in his life.





Salvatore was the beloved husband of 57 years to F. Louise (Doherty) DiMare. He was the devoted father of Geri Chapman of Stoneham, David DiMare and his wife Susan of Westfield, Susan Sennott and her husband Leo of Derry, New Hampshire, Paul DiMare of Exeter, New Hampshire and Maggi DiMare of Ipswich. Salvatore was the cherished grandfather of 9, the great grandfather of 3 and the dear brother of Frances DeFilippo of Arlington, Joseph DiMare of Stoneham and Rose Marino of Marblehead. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Wednesday at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Salvatore's life in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 9am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, Roslindale.
