Salvatore Graceffa

Salvatore Graceffa, of Malden, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025 with his family by his side. He was 86 years of age.

Salvatore shared 56 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Concetta. Together, they journeyed from their hometown of Aragona, Sicily, to New York City in 1970, where they began building a beautiful life grounded in hard work, family, and love.

As a father of three daughters, Salvo was endlessly supportive- gentle, humble, and caring. He taught his girls that there were no limits to what they could achieve. As a grandfather of six, he poured his whole heart into being the best Nonno, playing an extraordinary role in their upbringing and daily lives.

Salvatore’s love of cars began when he was just six years old, tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. That early spark grew into a lifelong career as a diesel mechanic, beginning in his teenage years and culminating into 25 dedicated years at Boston Freightliners in Everett, Massachusetts, before retiring at age 59.

Known affectionately as Salvo, he was a devoted Juventus fan and cherished the many memories he made attending Formula One Ferrari races in Montreal with close friends. He was also a proud member of the Egizio Club, Il Circolo dell’Amicizia, and the COMITES Italian community in Boston, where he found camaraderie, culture, and connection.

His legacy lives on in the generations he shaped with his warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion

Salvatore is the beloved husband of Concetta (Latino) Graceffa. He is the cherished father of Piera Pendolino and her husband Francesco, Gabriella Graceffa and Valeria Horvath and her husband Michael. Loving grandfather of Marcella Pendolino, Bella Grace Bunker, Luke Bunker, Leo Bunker, Ava Horvath and Olivia Horvath. Dear brother of Enza Maksymiw and Anna Iolanda Graceffa. He is also survive by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM on Tuesday November 25th, 2025 at 10:30 followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Salvatore's Eternal Life in Immaculate Conception Church 600 Pleasant St. Malden at 11:30 am. Interment Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Monday November 24th, 2025 from 4 pm to 8 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
