Salvatore C. Vaudo of Stoneham, formerly of Somerville, passed away on October 14, 2015. Salvatore was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and will be missed by all who knew him.
Salvatore was born in Gaeta, Italy and lived there into his 20's until he moved to the United States. He started his home remodeling business of 40 years in Somerville which he later moved to Stoneham when he built his house and resided there. Sal was an avid hockey fan who rooted for his favorite team, the Boston Bruins. He loved to garden and to dance and was a member of the Elks Lodge in Lexington and Moose Lodge in Revere. Sal also enjoyed traveling to Florida with his wife Mary.
Salvatore is the beloved husband of Mary (Greco) Vaudo. He is the devoted father of Anthony and his wife Gail, Salvatore, Jr. and his wife Marie, Joseph and his wife Donna, Robert and his wife Patricia and Nicholas and his wife Eve. Cherished grandfather of Christine and her husband Thomas, Jacqueline, Michael, Madeleine, Christopher, Bryan, Katie, Nicholas, Matthew, David, Benjamin and Jessica. He is the loving son of the late Antonio and Marianne (Fantasia) Vaudo. Salvatore is the dear brother of Assunta Parravano, Teresa Caruso, Raffaelo Vaudo and the late Patsy Vaudo. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Tuesday, October 20th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Salvatore's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Monday, October 19th from 5-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
