Samuel C. Scioli of Stoneham, formerly of Brewster & Somerville passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. He is 85 years of age.
Born on Saturday, June 4, 1938 in Somerville, Samuel is the loving son of the late Charles Scioli and Lucy (Clementi) Scioli. Samuel is a kind, warm, loyal and gentle son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed.
Affectionately known as Sammy, Papa, Grandpa and Bo-Cat, he was a talented cook who loved to share his recipes and his table with those who enjoyed food as much as he did. It also brought Sam great joy to share his love of the water and the fish and clams that reside there. His children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and anyone else that visited his home in Brewster were all taught how to clam, whether or not they wanted to consume their catch later. Sam’s love for gardening kept him busy in his yard, growing everything from herbs, tomatoes, zucchini, garlic and anything else that could take root.
Sam will be fondly remembered for his generosity and giving nature. No questions asked...if you were in need of anything, he was there. He had a great ability to make others smile, and his sense of humor will be missed.
Samuel defended our freedom by serving as a Private First Class E-3 (T) in the United States Army.
Samuel is the beloved husband of Jean Marie (Forti) Scioli. He is the devoted father of Mike Scioli and his wife Nancy, Paul Scioli and his wife Sharon and Charles Scioli and his wife Julia. The cherished grandfather of Jessica Scioli and her wife Lindsay Berman, Christina, Lauren, Lindsey, Sammy & Alicia Scioli, Samuel is the great grandfather of Grady Scioli. He is the dear brother of Frank Scioli and his wife Debra, Charles Scioli and his wife MaryLou, David Scioli and his wife Ann and the late Linda Driscoll and her late husband Henry. Samuel is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
