Santo P. Scire, 90, loving husband of the late Domenica (Licciardello) Scire, passed away on Friday, March 15th.
Santo was born November 6, 1928 in Miltello, Italy, the youngest of nine children, to the late Francesco and Rosina Scire. In 1964, Santo came to the U.S. with the love of his life,Domenica, to begin a new life and raise a family. Santo proudly worked as a mason in the construction industry for many years. Later in life, he was able to concentrate on his true passion, selling tomatoes at the New England Produce Center.
Santo was known for his warm smile and his whistling melodies. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being in his garden and telling stories about growing up on his family's farm in Italy. He is now reunited with his beloved parents, brothers and sisters in Heaven.
He is the devoted father of Francesco Scire and his wife Lisa. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Catherine and Frankie, Jr. Scire and loving brother-in-law and life long pal of Joseph Licciardello. He is the brother of eight siblings that have predeceased him and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (Rt 29) Stoneham on Thursday, March 21st, 2019 at 9am followed by a funeral mass celebrating Santo's Eternal Life at St. Patrick's Church, 71 Church St., Stoneham at 10am.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Santo's family at the Barile Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 20th, 2019 from 3 to 7pm. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
