Severena (DeSanto) "Rena" Kirklian

Severena "Rena" (DeSanto) Kirklian of Reading formerly of Arlington, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2014 at her home. She was 96 years of age.

Born on November 12, 1917 in Boston, Rena was the loving daughter of the late Angelo DeSanto and Amelia (Festa) DeSanto. Rena was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Rena enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed watching all of her great grandchildren's sporting events. She was an avid reader. Rena lived at Sanborn Place where she enjoyed socializing with friends.

Rena was the beloved wife of the late Gaetano Iovanni and the late Garabis Kirklian. She was the devoted mother of Valerie Martins and her former husband Paul, Felix Iovanni and his wife Donna, Arthur Kirklian and his wife Wendy, Sarco Kirklian and Gregory Kirklian. The cherished grandmother of Lisa Stewart and her husband Tom, Paula Perry and her husband Brian, Pamela DiSanto and her husband Angelo, Scott McRae, Shaun McRae and his wife Patty, Glenn McRae and his wife Brook, Rena was the loving great grandmother of Kaylyn & Carestin Stewart, Ryan & Sydney Perry, Michael, Angelo Paul & Joey DiSanto, Nate, Drew, Sam, Michael, Sara, Ella, Abbey, Connor, Aiden & Harrison McRae, Anthony & Gracie Kirklian.

Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Monday, September 29, 2014 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Rena's Eternal Life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 2-5pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and ramped entrance are available. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
