Shirley Mae (Robson) Boutin, of Reading, passed away peacefully on Friday July 24, 2015 at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital with her family at her side. She was at age 87.
Shirley grew up in the Golden Hills in Saugus and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Josephine (Hogan) Robson.
Shirley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Reading for most of her life. She was very active in the church, especially the choir. Shirley sang with the choir for many years.
Shirley loved to cook and spend time with her family. She and her husband Alvan were members of the Broadway Twirlers. For many years Shirley was a homemaker for Mystic Valley Elder Services. Shirley worked as a Patient Technician at Melrose Wakefield Hospital for many years
Shirley was the beloved wife of the late Alvan E. Boutin. She was the cherished mother of Gary Boutin and his wife Cindy, Alan Boutin and his wife Corrine, John Boutin and his wife Leslie, Sheryl Sanders, Joyce O'Dea and her husband Tim, Michele Boutin and the late Robert Boutin. She was the devoted grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 8. Dear sister of Joyce Owens and the late Herbert Robson.She was the friend of William Minks for over 15 years with whom she traveled all over the world with.
A funeral service Celebrating Shirley's Eternal Life will be held in the First Baptist Church 44 Woburn St. Reading on Thursday July 30th 2015 at 11 am. Interment will be in Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share remembrances with the family in the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Wednesday July 29th 2015 from 4-8 pm. Parking attendants and and handicapped entrance available.
