Shirley L. (Malzahn) Nichols

Shirley L. (Malzahn) Nichols of Andover, formerly of Reading, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 at The Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was 90 years of age.

Born on December 21, 1927 in Denver, Colorado, Shirley is the loving daughter of the late Edward Malzahn and Catherine (Burnett) Malzahn. Shirley is a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Shirley was a dedicated homemaker. She truly loved her family and spending time with loved ones. Her family meant the world to her. They were first and foremost in her life.

Shirley is the beloved wife of the late Willard F. Nichols who passed away on July 9, 2018. She is the devoted mother of Ron Nichols and his wife Brenda, Marsha Nichols and her partner Christopher, Bob Nichols, Virginia Bramante and her husband Michael. The cherished grandmother of Katie and her fiancé Megan, Kim, Matt and his wife Danielle, Joshua and his wife Christine, Lindsey, Joe and his wife Rachel and Heather, Shirley is the loving great grandmother of 7.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Shirley's Eternal Life will be held on Thursday, July 19th at 1pm in the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family prior to the Service, beginning at 10am. Parking attendants available. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
