Shirley P. (Thompson) Young

Shirley P. (Thompson) Young of Stoneham passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

During her 88 years of life, Shirley enjoyed summers at her favorite location: Weirs Beach on Lake Winnipesaukee.

For 66 years Shirley was a beloved wife to Earle Young. Shirley was also a devoted mother to Shirley Febo, Deborah Thomson and her husband Kevin, Kenneth Young and his wife Bonnie, David Young and his wife Kathleen, and Earle Young Jr. and his wife Kristina. She is the cherished grandmother of Salvatore Febo, Cynthia Borgeson, Shane Thomson, Lauren Thomson, Robert Young, Kenneth Young, Monica Vanasselberg, Lindsey Young, Drew Young, Ryan Young, Kevin Young, Connor Young and Tyler Young. Shirley was a loving great-grandmother of 7, and close to her nephew, Donald Thompson, and his daughter, Hannah, as well as her niece, Kim. She was the dear sister of Gary Thompson and his wife, Gloria, the late Robert Thompson Jr., and Nancy Reynolds. Additionally, Shirley was a Step-grandmother of Briana, David, Matthew, Harvey, Amanda, Nichole Gregoire, and step-great grandmother of 7.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with her family on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) in Stoneham from 11 am to 12 pm. The Funeral Service celebrating Shirley's eternal life will follow immediately at 12 pm at Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
