Siro Pieri of Melrose MA, formerly of Chicago IL, passed away peacefully at the age of 60 at Mass General Hospital in Boston. He was raised in Chicago and graduated from Shimer College in Mount Carroll, Illinois in 1977. Siro had a lifelong passion for learning, and was never without a good book to read. As a loving husband and father, he was always laughing and joking. He loved the outdoors, with a passion for biking, canoeing, and exploring trails. Throughout his life, Siro fought with illnesses, but he never let anything dampen his indomitable spirit. He will be remembered by all of those whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his loving family - his wife, Theresa, son Liam, and daughter, Chiara. His mother, Santina Pieri and siblings Dennis, Janis, James, Dean, and Albert. His nephews and nieces, Dino, Aaron, Ethan, Natasha, and Andrew. His Martinelli cousins, Bobby, Dianne, Donald, and families. His Luchessi cousins, Julie, Karen, Kevin, and families. His in-laws, theMcCarthy family. Mother Eleanor, and siblings Mary Ann, Beth, Paul, Susan, Richard, and Karen. Nieces and nephews, Patrick, Patricia Erin, Kathleen, Brian, Maureen, Jimmy, Christopher, Tiffany, Amy, Jeffrey, Jeanna, and Kerri.
Predeceased by his father, Dino Pieri, father-in-law, Paul McCarthy, and nephew Paul McCarthy III.
Service will be held Saturday, November 2nd from 1-4 PM at Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street, Stoneham, MA.
