Stanley A. Shiner

April 29, 1914 — November 15, 2004

Stanley A. Shiner of Stoneham passed away on Monday November 15, 2004 at his home in Stoneham. He was 90 years of age.





Born in Chelsea, Stanley was the son of the late Frank Szykniej and Jadwigh Kuchta. Stanley was a loving and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be sorely missed.





Stanley was employed as a cameraman at Forbes Lithograph Co. in Chelsea where his work was important in producing reproductions of the first pictures of the moon published by the government. Stanley was retired for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). Stanley was a member of the Graphic Communicating International Union and the Amaleamated Lithographers of America. Stanley was also a former Marine.





Stanley was a passionate swimmer, waker and hiker, and lover of the outdoors. He was devoted to his family.





Stanley was the beloved husband for 53 wonderful years to Florence (Ochs) Shiner. He was the devoted father of Nancy Shiner of Boston, Christine and her husband John Ramsey of Wilmington, Delaware, and Paul Shiner of Stoneham. Stanley was the cherished grandfather of Julia and Curtis Ramsey of Wilmington, Delaware and the dear brother of Angela Rittenberg of Boca Raton, Florida, Vera Burkhardt of Winchester and the late Mary Nolan and Lillian Zlotkowski. He was the uncle of Frank Zlotkowski of Steubenville, Ohio.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Thursday 3-7pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
