Stephen J. Dilendick

July 2, 1951 — April 15, 2017

Stephen J. Dilendick, 65, beloved husband of Denise (Mulcahy) Dilendick, passed away suddenly at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He had courageously battled pancreatic cancer. Born in Lawrence, he is the son of Germaine (Gagnon) Dilendick and the late Aleck Dilendick.

Stephen grew up in the Lawrence and Methuen area and was a graduate of Tri County Regional Vocational High School. He then attended the Franklin Institute and became a Master Electrician. With these skills he went on to own and operate New England Reliance Electric of Medford for many years.

When not working, Stephen had a passion for fishing and was an avid sailor. He enjoyed many good times on his boat the "Triple Take", named lovingly after his three children. In addition to his enjoyment on the water, Stephen also loved his camper, traveling, and riding his motorcycle. He was a carefree and caring man who will be truly missed by his loving family and friends.

In addition to his wife Denise, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage, he is survived by his son, Alec Dilendick and his wife, Rachel, and his daughter, Stefanie Dilendick; one grandchild, Steven Dilendick; nephews, Brian Dilendick and his wife Juanita and Jimmy Dilendick and his wife Margaret; along with many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his son Scott Dilendick and brother Michael Dilendick.
